At the world's end...At the world's end...

It was the beginning of the 16the century when Nicolaus Copernicus settled in Frauenburg - now Frombork. Here he worked on his famous De Revolutionibus... But we tend to forget, that he was a doctor. And this is why I invite you to Frombork. COme and see this place which is still at the world's end. Yet the place found itself in the centre of the world - several years ago. It happened, when Nicolaus Copernicus' grave was found. After a thorough research in cooperation with the Swedish anthrooplogists - now we know... Copernicus was burried here... at the world;s end.

Bacolod as a Tourist Destination

As someone who is new to the industry, one has always his own fresh new ideas. Who knows if these ideas have failed or succeeded? One has always to go through it by experiencing it in order to feel and understand how it is being done.

Seeing the long-term opportunities, I'd like to be in the tourism industry. Through advertisements on TV and print, we see how other places are being packaged and marketed globally. And I'd like to do that to the City of Smiles where I live. Bacolod and Negros are so rich with mouth-watering pastries and delicacies, seafoods, chicken inasal (chicken barbeque), pristine beaches and warm hospitable people. Bacolod has so much to offer. Rich culture and history.

New hotels have risen in Bacolod's landscape in the past year. There are now 13 call centers employing 9,000 people. Bacolod is in the top 5 in the next wave cities for ICT.

Have fun and make it Bacolod!

Gdansk - Europe's best kept secretGdansk - Europe's best kept secret

Neither rash nor timid... This has been the town's motto for ages. Now still valid.

Gdansk - Danzig - Danczk

This is how the town is and was called. Once a Hanseatic City - one of tghe mightiest in the Prussian Hansa. The richest, mightiest and most stubborn of Polish cities. Once also was the bigest. Gdansk still has a lot of the old charm, especially aftet splendid restoration in the post-war times. Gdansk is the town of Hans Memling's Last Judgement, it is the town where you can find the bigest brick gothic church in the world, there are many picturesque Netherlandish in style buildings. But Gdansk is also the town of Solidarity.

The Berlin Wall would have collapsed - as menatlity of Europe changed, BUT... it would have taken longer - much longer if not for Gdansk, which started to break the chains of communism.
