About the Trip;

Marvel over the Giza Pyramids outside of Cairo; be transported 5000 years as you stand in the vividly colored tombs and temples of Luxor’s Valley of the Kings; feel the warmth of the Nubian people; hear the songs of the Ancients in your heart as you sail down the timeless Nile River and submerge yourself in the sparkling waters of the Red Sea.

Our tours are led by licensed guides who are passionate about Egyptian history and culture and love sharing it with visitors. All tours are educational and informative but casual and fun!

The people of Egypt are its best feature. They are charming, kind, warm and full of wit and good humor. We are extremely lucky to have a local Egyptian, born and raised in Luxor, accompany us on all our tours and act as our own personal ambassador to Egypt.

And of course, nothing beats the culture. You have not lived until you have had some warm Egyptian bread with tahina, smoked an apple flavored water pipe (shisha), dressed up in a ghelabiya, attempted to belly dance or looked down on the world from atop a camel’s back (even if you’re screaming ‘Just take the picture and get me down from here!).

Egypt is an intoxicant that has captured the hearts of visitors since the beginning of time. Let us show it to you.

This is an amazing trip and we had a really fun group last year. Hope to see you there!

Best,

We received this wonderful review from our most recent client.

"Hello KC,

Just to say thankyou for a wonderful experience. Your company delivered everything and more than promised and at very competitive rates. Karim was kind, polite and knowledgeable and no request was too much trouble for him. As well as the scheduled itinerary he accompanied us on an evening search of the markets as my partner was keen to purchase material to bring home and make her own garments. He did this in his own time and would not accept payment, he just wanted us to have had a nice holiday and leave with good memories of Egypt and its people.

He had also arranged our tours of the Valley of the Kings, Karnak and Luxor temples with a guide who was first class and an experienced Egyptologist. Bahaa, our guide for these excursions was excellent in his explanations, knowledge and manner.

We enjoyed every moment of our holiday and it was made even more enjoyable and easy by the wonderful service of your company and its efforts on our behalf.

Thankyou.

Best Wishes

Richard & Marinela."

Hot in the city

It's heating up here in Luxor, and with everyone out and about doing tours, we just wanted to share some tips for staying healthy.

* WEAR A HAT. This is in caps because it is that important. Don't sacrifice your health for fashion. Heat stroke has never been en vogue. :-)

* Comfort is the name of the game. In these temperatures, wearing tight jeans is like wearing oven mitts. Wear fabrics that breathe and allow you to move. Loose cotton is best. Contrary to popular belief, less clothing (shorts, sleeveless tank tops) does not keep you cooler. What it does is increase the chance that you'll be sunburned. Why not go native? Those local, cotton tops are perfect for both staying cool and respecting the culture.

* Stay hydrated. Bottled water is cheap so drink lots of it. Make sure that the seals around the neck of the bottle are unbroken. You can add a pinch of salt or jazz it up with a lemon slice, BUT

* Don't drink ice cold water in the blazing sun or go directly into air conditioned rooms after coming in from it.

* Avoid ice in drinks.

* Don't overeat. This often happens on the cruises. People often stuff themselves with food at the buffets and suffer the consequences later on.

* Bring antibacterial gel. The money is often filthy, especially the small bills. Keeping your hands clean, especially before you eat, will go a long way.

* Take it easy! I know that we often have a lot to see with limited vacation time, but not allowing your body to acclimate to a different climate/food/time zone throws everything out of whack and can make you sick.

So now, since you're all dressed up in your cool cotton, you've donned your hat, and armed yourself with your bottled water, all that's left to do is book one of our tours. :-) We start early to avoid the worst of the sun, or for a twist, you can try an evening tour. Luxor Temple is beautiful at night.

Let us show you the Luxor we know and love. Book a tour with us. We'll take good care of you. :-)

I will meet you at Alexandria port and escort you through your day trip. Drive to Cairo approximately 2.5 hours by an air-conditioned vehicle, arrive at the Plateau of the Great Pyramids of Giza to visit the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus.

Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, a head of a pharaoh with a lion's body, which dates from the time of Chephren; the tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramids of Chephren.

We will break for lunch, then move on to Sakkara to visit the Step Pyramids of Zoser and then to Memphis, the first capital of Egypt, to see the Statue of Ramses II and the second alabaster Sphinx.
