This Medina day tour is a perfect combination of the Tunis old city sightseeing tour, shopping in famous Tunisian bazaars and attending an exposition of Berber carpets.
Departure to the Medina-the old Arabic city- for a walk through its beautiful, narrow and lively streets. tortuous alleys and its souks, which draw apparently an inextricable maze. The noble professions form the first belt (perfumers, booksellers, jewellers, tailors, manufacturers of chechias, sort of cap) around the big mosque. We will not only have the chance to drive through some suburbs of the southern part of Santiago, view the amazing Mountain range and another view of how the people live far from the center of the city. Once we reach the southern part close to the Valley of Maipo, important in Chile`s wine production, We will enjoy the visit to one of the most important First class Wine Exporters of Chile, Concha y Toro vineyard or Santa Rita. After taking the vineyards main tour and visit their premises, we will have the chance to drive to the Rural town of Cajon del Maipo, view some part of the mountain range and take pictures of the wonderful Andes Mountains and beauty. Specially during winter that shows the amazing white Andes. Lunch at a special Chilean typical restaurant. Return to the hotel.
During the snow season, June to the 4th of October, its amazing how you will be able to view the white skirts up to the Andes, where you will be able to picture the beauty of the silence and of course if you are a ski lover, this is the place to practice it, and snowboard, at the International Ski resort.
We will have a mini picnic with Cheese and wine and pisco sour during a stop, before reaching the very to called Valle Nevado. On the way we will see the Farellones ski center and Colorado. During summer time, we will be able to appreciate its peculiar flora, and maybe on september view a Condor or two if we are lucky, taking pictures of the wide variety of cactus and shrubs. When the altitude exceeds 2,000 meters, the mountain shows in its slopes a range of colours caused by the minerals of the soil. The highest we will feel is 3.025 mts high. Free time to walk, take pictures and enjoy a nice snack up at the Ski Center if included on your booking. Just want to thank you for a work well done today. I had a great time, learnt a lot and I think I got the highlights of Mallorca. I especially enjoyed the tout in the cathedral. Trust me, I am not a atheist, I have just spent too much time in churches on guided tours with guides explaining the religious blablabla on... You kept it to the minimum and you made it interesting. I will remember the three different ways of telling the story of Christ’s flesh and blood. Some of Mozart’s best music are made for the church. So I guess it’s all a matter of financing. That’s the full circle: the new art in the cathedral was paid by companies. I will gladly give you good reviews and I hope you will manage to make a living out of guiding. The day-trading days are over and you live in a place to be proud of.

This is a one day trip to one of the sorrounding areas of Tunis : Zaghouan and Hammamet
Tunis-zaghouan (60Km)
After breakfast, we start off to Zaghouan ,on the way to Zaghouan we will stop to contemplate the roman aqueduct of Carthage ,which used to conduct water from Zaghouan to Carthage.
Then we Will continue to Zaghouan ,visit of the temple of water ,then we will drive to the old city of Zaghouan for a walk through one of the water fountain streets to end where the Roman arch still lies.
Zaghouan lies seductively on a few hills below the dramatic Zaghouan Mountain, which rises 1,295 out of almost nothing but flat plains.
It was an important town in Roman times, administering one of the most important water resources for Carthage. A few interesting traces of this past is found in town, like a triumphal arch and a fountain as big as a temple but most of it is from the resettlement in the 17th century by immigrants from Andalucia.
The Water temple of Zaghouan dates back to Roman times, and was not a temple, simply a grand fountain.
Its location is as impressive today as it must have been in the 2nd century CE. Above it rises the 1,295 meter high Zaghouan Mountain, and in front stretches the fields. You may almost see the Mediterranean Sea on a clear day.
Its decoration has similarities with what you would find in a temple. There are 12 niches each having a life size statue representing the 12 months of a year. In the middle there was really a temple, of which only the central niche remains.
The basin below the platform is shaped like the figure of 8, and served to filter the water before letting it on to the aqueducts.

Zaghouan –Takrouna-Hammamet(80Km)
Continuation to the Berber village of Takrouna,a small village constructed on top of a hill with a beautiful view of the plains and surrounding area.
The Eighth Army’s last obstacle on the way to Tunis in April 1943, this hill was in the hands of Axis forces. The Allies, predominantly New Zealanders, won the battle but at the cost of heavy casualties.

Day 2
Mpumalanga Province, say Hambagathle (Goodbye) to Johannesburg for a six-hour drive to the “Place of the Rising Sun”, descend from highveld grassland and the greater Drakens-berg escarpment to tropical Lowveld around Nelspruit in the east, and view the grass and wetlands around in the south and on route to Nelspruit.
The Sudwala Caves, this 4 million year-old cave, which created a worldwide news story claiming that the famous Kruger Rand Millions, were hidden there. This proved to be home to more than gold, because explorers discovered a layer of bat droppings that was 10 meters thick. They sold it to the farmers as manure and made a fortune. Overnight accommodation is in a hotel on a banana plantation.
Day 3
Depart from Hazyview for a tour of the Panoramic Scenic route in Mpumalanga, which will include the following sites.
